About Me

Your Name

Who am I?

I'm Abraham Samuel, a B.Tech student at NRI Institute of Technology (NRIIT), specializing in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).

I'm a multidisciplinary tech enthusiast with a strong foundation in both hardware and software. My journey began with curiosity about how things work, evolving into a passion for building impactful, real-world solutions — from designing PCB to developing AI-powered assistants like Jarvis.

Beyond coding and electronics, I also have hands-on experience in video editing and graphic design. I enjoy creating visuals and content that not only inform but also inspire, making tech accessible and exciting for everyone.

When I'm not working on a tech project, you'll often find me anchoring college events, participating in project expos, crafting visual content, or exploring the latest trends in AI, IoT, and creative media tools. I believe in continuous learning and strive to grow as a well-rounded engineer and creator.

My Projects

Project 1

Jarvis – AI Voice Assistant (Prototype)

A Python-based desktop AI voice assistant inspired by Iron Man's JARVIS.

➤ Uses SpeechRecognition for voice input and pyttsx3 for natural TTS responses.
➤ Capable of answering questions, fetching Wikipedia summaries, and telling time/date.
➤ Controls desktop applications like Notepad, YouTube, and system volume using voice commands.
➤ Integrated with IoT hardware (light/fan) using ESP32 and TinyLlama for microcontroller AI.
➤ Highly modular design ready for future upgrades like email assistant, browser control, and smart automation.
➤ Great example of cross-domain project: combines software (AI/ML) and hardware (IoT).

Project 2

Hand Gesture-Based Traffic Control System

A smart traffic control prototype using hand gestures to control traffic lights, ideal for emergency or manual override scenarios.

➤ Built using Python (MediaPipe + OpenCV) for hand detection and gesture classification.
➤ Interfaced with Arduino Uno and a custom PCB board to control traffic LEDs (Stop, Slow, Go).
➤ Recognizes intuitive hand gestures like ✋ (Stop), 👍 (Go), and ✌️ (Slow) to manage signals.
➤ Designed as a smart-city innovation for traffic cops, emergencies, or power failures.
➤ Portable, low-cost, and scalable for educational demos or smart intersections.
➤ PCB designed in KiCad with a 3D-rendered model for final deployment.

Retro Gaming Console

Retro Gaming Console using ESP-32

A pocket-sized game console using ESP32, an OLED display, and push buttons.

➤ Games include Flappy Bird, Dino, Pong, Brick Breaker, and Maze Escape.
➤ Features a menu system, buzzer-based audio effects, and scoring logic.
➤ Efficiently coded in Arduino IDE using Adafruit GFX and U8g2 libraries.
➤ Low-power build using battery and breadboard-based testing.
➤ Great learning project combining graphics, input handling, and embedded logic.

Project 3

Custom PCB Design for Traffic Control System

A fully customized PCB designed to control traffic lights with Arduino compatibility, aimed for gesture-controlled automation.

➤ Designed using KiCad from schematic to 2D layout and 3D rendering.
➤ Features include: LED indicators for Red, Yellow, Green; direct Arduino Uno socket mount.
➤ Compact size, optimized traces, and minimal external wiring.
➤ Perfectly interfaces with gesture recognition system for real-world control.
➤ PCB includes silkscreen labels, mounting holes, and USB breakout.
➤ Contributed to the prototype for the hand-gesture-based traffic controller system.
➤ A great example of hardware-software co-design.

Project 4

ASL Detection Using CNN

A deep learning project for recognizing American Sign Language alphabets.

➤ Trained using TensorFlow and CNNs on a dataset of ASL hand signs.
➤ Real-time webcam inference via OpenCV and preprocessed grayscale frames.
➤ Model shows 95%+ accuracy with high reliability on new data.
➤ Useful for bridging the gap between sign language users and AI-powered systems.
➤ Scalable to full gesture-based communication tools or mobile apps.

Project 5

RFID-Based Face Recognition Attendance System

A smart attendance system combining facial biometrics and RFID authentication.

➤ Built using OpenCV for face recognition and RFID RC522 module.
➤ Integrates with MySQL for real-time attendance logging.
➤ Uses timestamp + ID + face verification for double-layer security.
➤ Designed with future scalability for classrooms and offices.
➤ Displays status on LCD and logs data to local storage.
